Another Japanese restaurant comes to Jakarta! And it's time for Fūjin Teppanyaki & Japanese Whisky, which is opened in the early December 2015 and located at Senopati area, in the same building with Monstore & Otoko or still in-line with Pong Me! And basically, Fūjin is like a copy of Rayjin (Bali), yeah, it's a TEPPAN!
And after years of disciplines and exploring the arts of authentic teppanyaki dining at Shibuya, Japan, the team behind Rayjin Teppanyaki Dining are setting a new standard of Japanese intracultural in Bali. This notable success of Rayjin in concoction with the exquisite brain of Biko Group which managed the award-winning entertainment venues, Beer Garden and Pao Pao, starting their venture in the newest establishment, FŪJIN Teppanyaki & Japanese Whisky.
The concept of FŪJIN is to implement the actual traditional Japanese culture from the mindset, attitude and service style. Serving in Hiroshima-style Teppanyaki with the finest quality of ingredients and also have a wide range of Japanese whisky and individually prepared cocktails are also available to accompany that mouthful savory dish.
Beef Tataki (IDR 80.000), seared meltique beef slices with onion, paprika and tataki dressing. This one call be called as my favorite Japanese Tapas here, the beef is so tender with their appetizing dressing sauce.
Tuna Tataki (IDR 75.000), panko coated tuna and avocado with tataki dressing and mayonnaise. This one isn't my favorite, but still good enough to try. Anyway, the tuna was fresh, cooked perfectly and also the dressing was quiet refreshing.
|Mentaiko Potato Cheese Pizza|
Mentaiko Potato Cheese Pizza (IDR 70.000 - small portion), a savoury crepes topped with shrimp, mentaiko, potato and melted mozzarella cheese. This menu looks quite simple, but the taste is AMAAZING, just a perfect combination at all! I promised to come back here again for this menu.
|Pork Belly Syogayaki|
Pork Belly Syogayaki (IDR 85.000), a teppan grilled pork belly with sweet onion and ginger sauce. This time, the pork was marinated perfectly with quite strong of ginger aroma, but the pork here was so chewy (a bit hard to eat it). I was quite disappointed with this menu, beyond my expectations.
|Fujin Hiroshimayaki (Pork)|
Fūjin Hiroshimayaki Pork (IDR 95.000), this one is a Fūjin style of okonomiyaki served perfectly! A soft dough served with vegetables and a little of udon in it. YUMMY!
Chicken Nanban (IDR 85.000), a sweet and sour marinated chicken with Japanese tartar sauce. Anyway, many people who has visited here said if this one is a recommended dish but idk why, when the dish served, looks so tempting and beautiful but not about the taste! The chicken just tasted bland, nothing special in this menu (even the tartar and pesto sauce). I think, they should pay attention to the consistency of the taste of food each day.
Fūjin Yaki Udon Pork (IDR 70.000), a Fūjin style of teppanyaki udon which was served with pork, because we're a pork lovers! The udon here is quite thick but still soft and cooked with the sauce taste like okonomiyaki style, but I love and enjoy it much!
