Good news on April! I've a BIG SURPRISE for you because 'The Cheapest Michelin Star Restaurant in The World' has rolled to Jakarta, in the perfect storm of social media frenzy! WOW!
Yeah, Tim Ho Wan as the famous dim sum restaurant has finally arrived here, precisely located at Pantai Indah Kapuk (inline with Carnivor). It's so easy for you to find it! Just look at the green-giant-typo and window frame, hmm also you'll a long queue in front of this restaurant!
Well, I came here on their Soft Opening Day (March 28th, 2014) around 10.15AM with my fellow foodies! Guess what? They'll start to open on 11AM, so I'm the first customer in a queue, HAHA! But what's happen next? The time is already shown 10.30AM and people are increasingly coming on and so before 11AM, the queue had reached the front of the restaurant! INSANE!
The dim sum here are made using only fresh and premium quality ingredients. The dim sum are also delectably fresh as they aren't pre-steamed or reheated but made-to-order so as to retain the dim sum flavour and texture.
And because we can't wait, we were immediately ordered almost all the food is here. HAHA.

Prawn Dumpling / Hakau Isi Udang (IDR 38.800), the dumpling skin is thicker than usual. In addition, the shrimp in it still crisp. You need to order this one!

Pork Dumpling with Shrimp (IDR 36.800), looks a bit different! They used a kind of red yeast rice (angkak) on it, which usually using a chopped carrot for the topping.

Pork Rib with Black Bean Sauce / Tim Paikut Saus Tausi (IDR 29.800), this is my favourite! HAHA. The pork ribs are so tender and juicy, and also well-seasoned! You gotta hooked with it!

Braised Chicken Feet with Abalone Sauce / Tim Kaki Ayam Saus Abalone (IDR 33.800), looks so quiet pretty but not for its taste. For me, there's nothing special in this dish and I prefer for the classic/traditional chicken feet. *grin*

Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumpling / Pangsit Goreng Udang dengan Saus Wasabi (IDR 43.800), such a cute 'pangsit', looks more fat and round, unlike usually wider and thinner. And here, they used wasabi sauce and tobiko.

Rice with Beef & Fried Egg / Nasi dengan Sapi & Telur Goreng (IDR 46.800), it just a steamed rice and topped with minced beef and fried egg. And also served with savoury sauce. Hmm, you had to scoop at a time so it feels perfect!
|Steamed Egg / Bolu Kukus|
Steamed Egg Cake / Bolu Kukus (IDR 28.800) so light and spongy, with a bit-nice caramelised taste. It's so damn good! But, we just ordered one portion because we've full enough!
Oh well, finally we've finished our HUGE breakfast! Haha. Did you ever eat breakfast this much? If not, try to go with your friends who like to eat, you will feel how crazy we are at that time! :)
