This month is so exciting for me and other foodies because there's so many new restaurants popping up around Jakarta. And now, I give a try to visit a newest restaurant at Grand Indonesia, it's NOMZ Kitchen and Pastry (Modern Asian Cuisine & Quirky Patisserie).

Anyway, look at the logo! So catchy and cute, isn't it? *grin* Hmm, I thought, if this concept were screaming like a trumpet NOM NOMZ! Idk for sure, it's just my imagination HAHA.

And surely, Chef Arnold Purnomo, the celebrity chef from Masterchef Indonesia is the man behind of NOMZ Kitchen & Pastry, located is opposite the Union Deliwhich is also famous for the most delicious Red Velvet Cake.

The concept here is more an industrial type look alike with the rustic wall bricks and also some illustrations on the walls. I really love with their ambience. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This is a small part that can be found in this restaurant. And now it's time intuk tasting some of the menu here. Let's NOM NOMZ!

Pork Gyoza Foie Gras

Pork Gyoza Foie Gras (IDR 80.000), may look like suikiaw (one of Chinese food), but this is different, the content of this food using pork and liver of a duck or goose that has been specially fattened. Foie gras is a popular and well-known delicacy in French Cuisine. Its flavor is described as rich, buttery, and delicate, unlike that of an ordinary duck or goose liver. And when I tried to eat it, I didn't feel the liver taste, so happy! HAHA.

Fish and Chips

Fish and Chips (IDR 95.000), a menu that suggested by the waiter, he said this is one of the favorite menu from Nomz. I thought, it was delicious, tender and crispy outside, but only less savory and marinade of it. Perhaps, if the marinade more pervasive and tasty, this food will be much better.

Half Roasted Baby Chicken

Half Roasted Baby Chicken (IDR 85.000), a menu that I've ordered. Looks a bit large, but the portion is quite fit to be enjoyed by one person. And what I like about this menu is served with crisp chicken skin and the meat is quite tender and juicy. But the vegetables on the bottom is a bit over cooked for me.

Bailey's Eclairs

Bailey's Eclairs (IDR 38.000), this is one of the pastry quite caught my attention, besides I have never taste for this one and still in the mood of Christmas! It is mad by Chef Kim Pangestu and previously I've ever tasted some of her homemade-pastry when events "Sunday Cook's Affair" at HYDE, Kemang. Anyway, when I tasted it, I didn't feel the aroma and taste of baileys itself, idk why.

Rasp Be Merry Cake

Rasp Be Merry Cake (IDR 45.000), this cake can be fairly refreshing with a jelly-mousse texture and salted caramel in the middle. My Favourite Cake of the day! :)

Chef Arnold, me, Eddy Suryadi and Stanislaus Hans

And very lucky, on the that day, me and my fellow bloggers can meet directly with Chef Arnold, he's a friendly guy.
