Just found another dessert place, called it BAKER'S GALLERY, a European artisan bakery which has opened in the mid of June 2014. Anyway, this cafe was managed by Ryst Group (also manage some popular restaurants around Jakarta, such as P&B, Empirica and Publico Bistro).

The atmosphere is very comfortable and cool, so that makes you feel at home to chill and relax. In addition, this place is good enough to be captured as minimalistic with white shades.

Other than that, it turns out that they have an outdoor area too which is also good enough to be captured and relax for the smokers (perhaps this is a smoking area, haha). But, let us go back to the room and enjoyed some cakes!

Cheese Bar

Cheese Bar (IDR 45.000), its appearance immediately caught my attention when I saw into their chiller. Maybe I'm not someone who likes cheese too much, so in my opinion, this cheese cake was perfectly paired with something crunchy on top and also its soft cream cheese, a slice of ​​strawberries and chocolate.

Velvet Peanut Cream Eclair

Velvet Peanut Cream Eclair (IDR 30.000), another dessert that I've ordered, this time I chose for eclairs that look pretty tempting. This eclair is quite good, but it's just to be a little frozen cream (probably due to put in the chiller). Maybe it would be better if made ​​more soft for its cream, so as not to be frozen when put in the chiller. Oh yes, cream flavor peanut is less taste.

Chocolate Hazelnut Croughnut

Chocolate Hazelnut Croughnut (IDR 25.000), this is one of the most famous menu at this cafe, if I'm not mistaken. Hehe. But once I tasted it, this menu is very ordinary, nothing special compared to other croughnuts. But this is still reasonable if you are curious and want to taste it.

Mars Bar

Mars Bar (IDR 45.000), this cake may be more suitable for chocolate lovers, because this cake is really made ​​up of chocolates, which are creamy chocolate that will melt in your mouth when you eat it. Hope you like it!

Yeah guys! I've thought this is a place that you're waiting for and now they're officially open in Jakarta. So, you don't need to go abroad for having a bowl of this!

IPPUDO was founded in 1985 in Japan's ramen capital of Hakata by Shigemi Kawahara, the internationally renowned Ramen King. There are over 80 stores in Japan and 40 globally in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei, London, etc. And now, IPPUDO has become the most popular ramen restaurant over the years.

'IPPUDO' in direct translation means "one wind hall", and this is named because at the time, there were dark clouds over the Kyushu ramen industry, and the founder CEO Kawahara intended to "blow wind and revolutionise the era". And he was crowned Ramen King (2005) and holds a place in the Ramen Hall of Fame after winning the championship three times in a row between 1995-1998, on "TV Champion Ramen Chef", a reputable Japanese television show produced by TV Tokyo. So, what do you think about this ramen?

Okay, it's time for us to taste how good it is! And when you enter a Japanese restaurant, not another if I choose Japanese green tea (perhaps better known as Ocha) as my drink, which is said it has a lot of benefits.


IPPUDO Pork Bun (IDR 28.000) was a juicy braised pork belly served with IPPUDO's special sauce, and this is one of their best-seller around the world. FAVOURITE! When pork belly never goes wrong and ready to dance on your belly!

Seared Salmon Roll with Mentaiko

Seared Salmon Roll with Mentaiko (IDR 78.000) was a lightly seared fresh salmon roll seasoned with delicious mentaiko and topped with cod roe. This is one of the most delicious salmon I've ever met. This salmon is so smooth and when you eat it, the savory like melted in your mouth. I'm hooked and we ordered this for two portion! A-MUST-TO-TRY!

Shiromaru Ramen

Shiromaru Special (IDR 90.000) was served with salted soft-boiled egg, pork loin, pork belly and seaweed. This was IPPUDO's original tonkotsu broth served with ultra this noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, kikurage and spring onions, such a classic Hakata-style ramen. I really love with its broth!

Shiromaru Ramen

Akamaru Special (IDR 95.000) was also served with salted soft-boiled egg, pork belly and seaweed. It was also an original tonkotsu broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil. A refined, modern-style ramen. It would be very suitable for you who like miso, but to be honest, I prefer the original one. Surely, it depends according to your personal taste.

Karaka Special

Karaka Special (IDR 99.000) was served again with salted soft-boiled egg, pork belly and seaweed. Just another IPPUDO's original tonkotsu broth with special spicy miso, cashew nuts, bean sprouts and ground pork. I can't eat this type of ramen, because it was spicy enough for me (I hate spicy food, haha)

Look at the egg, so tempting! Each portion of ramen served with salted soft-boiled egg. That egg is very tasty and I really liked it, might make you addicted! Haha.

Oh ya, in here you also can choose the hardness of your noodles : soft / normal / hard / very hard. And I choose for the hard one, it really suitable for me! You can feel a slight sensation of crisp texture of the noodles.

So, give yourself to try this ramen, but don't expect too much. Honestly, I've to say IPPUDO in Singapore was better than this, probably due to the adjustment to the taste of Indonesian. Even till today, there are often long queues during lunch and dinner. Good luck!

Did you know who they are? Yes, of course they are the founder of jktgo.com! Three of them are Ian Eryanto, Lydia Sju and Angel Cynthia were very nice and friendly. They are also such a crazy friends! Haha.

Before enjoying our dinner, we're given some designs of greeting card that we should to write as a greeting to JKTGO First Anniversary! Anyway, all of this was prepared and cooperation by Cottontail Event.

Sautéed Escargot, just a little appetizer from Wilshire! This two 'small things', feels like nothing special from this menu. And if I am not mistaken, it's like mushrooms and topped with escargots. Haha. But overall, this was good enough! 

Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Shrimps

Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Shrimps, oh my goodness! This one was really good, spaghetti served with 2 shrimps but a lil'bit spicy for me, haha. Thumbs up for this dish and gimme a bigger portion :)

Sous Vide Salmon

Sous Vide Salmon as my favourite main course! The salmon was served in medium well, so smooth and juicy. I really like the salmon's skin, so tasty! And there's also vegetables as the side dishes, perfectly hooked me tonight!

Chicken with Mushroom Bordelaise

Chicken with Mushroom Bordelaise as another main course! Looks so tempting for sure, haha. Yeah, it was grilled chicken served with mushroom bordelaise sauce, the meat was tender and juicy enough, me likey! And also served thin slices of fried potatoes and vegetables as the side dishes. 

Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding

Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding as the last for our dessert! This dessert looks so tempting when you first saw it and really, it feels so good! I really like it, it's just big enough for me as a dessert. In my opinion, this dessert is quite unique, croissant (the shape like a bread in general) then you'll find  raisins and chocolate in it then covered with sweet vanilla sauce.

Bourbon Eatery & Coffee, the name may not sound familiar in your ears, hehe. Yes, it's true, because this is one of the new places which located at Mall@Alam Sutera. Honestly, I also know this place from a friend who posted one of the menu here on instagram. Because of that, I try to come at once to taste food and coffee here.

And when you stepped into this cafe, you will feel the warm atmosphere of this cafe, perhaps because they use wood element to their interiors, but it also gives the impression of comfort to the visitors.

If you look and feel, this place is perfect for you to relax while enjoying some snacks in the afternoon. All are designed and laid-out like as if you were at home, very comfortable and homey.

Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese (IDR 48.000), looks like a usual type that you'll find in any restaurant. And because I'm one of the fans of macaroni, so I ordered for it. IMHO, the menu is quite tasty, creamy and cheesy. Well done!

Scrambled Egg Muffins with Smoked Salmon

Scrambled Egg Muffins with Smoked Salmon (IDR 52.000), perhaps this is the menu that is usually categorized as a breakfast menu, but this time, my partner (Eddy from www.eshtravaganza.com) wanna try this, haha. Hmm, this menu may not need me to explain, just as you often find in some restaurant. And for this menu, I quite like it and the spices perfectly blend but just for the salmon, it was slightly fishy smell, in my opinion.

Naughty Fries

Naughty Fries (IDR 42.000), this is one of a light bites menu, may be used as a snack while enjoying a coffee in the afternoon, hehe. Surely, it was a french fries and deep fried onions sprinkled with spring onions on top. In my opinion, this menu is too ripe, looks like burnt, which gives the impression of bitter when eaten.

Iced Hazelnut Latter and Caramel Macchiato

Iced Hazelnut Latte (IDR 42.000) and Caramel Macchiato (IDR 33.000), as our drink in this afternoon. We ordered this coffee less according to our expectations, hehe. This coffee is too 'plain' and standard, maybe they need to improve the quality of coffee, types of coffee and also how to make coffee that make coffee taste better.

Before I start to review, I just wanna say thank you to Zomato for treating us here with another fellow foodies. I just had a lot of fun at #ZomatoMeetUp event and met with new foodies who loves to take a picture before they're eating. HAHA!

Brentwood Grill is one of a casual fine dining around South Jakarta, precisely across of the Dharmawangsa Square. Are you curious about this warm place? Let's take a little journey!

This place is dominant with wood so diners easily feel comfortable and relax upon entering the restaurant, among the dim lights and the warm ambiance.

And before he start to cook, he was inviting us to step into their kitchen! Wow, this really surprised me! Because we are rarely allowed to go into the kitchen when the chefs are cooking.

And before exiting the kitchen, I saw some of his collection which is also a favorite things, some knives. There appears some kind of knife that he used when cooking.

Then before starting, we were introduced by William (from the Zomato) regarding to Mr. Adriano Mazek, owner of brentwood Grill, is also known as Chef Adri. He's both the owner and sous chef, what a crazy! He works like this because his passion for food and cooking, as seeing you a good food in good quality. SALUTE!

Okay, before start to the appetizer menu, let's take a glass of wine and cheers to the others foodies. And tonight is gonna be awesome!

Let's start with something fresh and green! Say yes to SALAD! This was one of the unique salad, they put some slices of strawberry to make it look attractive and refreshing, such a good presentation! And for the sauce, a lilt sour but I love it!

Escargots a L'ail et au Echalotes

Escargots a L'ail et au Echalotes, its taste was really good, I couldn't resistor the appetiser menu like this! Haha. It was escargots seared with butter, garlic, shallot and provincial herbs. It’s got well-balanced seasonings and this is the star for tonight!

New England Clam Chowder

New England Clam Chowder as the second course which is consist of clam, potato cream and herbs. For me, it has a good and also its creamy consistency, but I haven’t bitten a single clam when I slurp it. And one more thing, I wish it was served in warmer condition, so the taste will be better.

Hokkaido Pentocles, Safran Nage, Les Yeux Noirs et Petits Pois

Hokkaido Pentocles, Safran Nage, Les Yeux Noirs et Petits Pois, just the next course served in petite portion, haha. Surely, it wasn't enough with just one! I love with the softness of that scallops and also perfect served with crisp, something crunchy. And if you want to enjoy a bit of a sweet sensation, you can eat that cherry tomato. Hehe.

Chateaubriand Angus Steak

Chateaubriand Angus Steak, looks very striking when served! It was Australian angus tenderloin, mushroom terrine, tomato confit and red wine jus. I think it's too many items in a plate, so it looks a bit 'difficult' when you want to eat it. And at this time, I ordered medium rare but they presented to me was the medium well. But its okay for me, also good!

Earthy Coffee Crunchy Almond

And for the last, time for dessert : Earthy Coffee Crunchy Almond! I thought the white chocolate banana choux was perfect, chewy! I'm in love with the blend of banana and white caramel, perfectly balanced for me. And for the chocolate-coffee mousse, it was really great! Rich and bold for its taste and texture, so damn good. You can also enjoy the mixture of sweet and bitter. The last but not the least, I also like the white caramel coated cream puff, really like it like I want more for that one, haha!

Overall, the food served here is very good, but it would be better if it was served in a warmer temperature.
