Laughing Stock Steak and Seafood Grill is dedicated to giving you a dining experience you'll love and wanna share with others. It's about giving you exceptional service the moment you're greeted at the door. They also serving entrees that are completed with elegance and culinary passion.

Choose some delicious poached egg, beef bacon on English muffin with Hollandaise sauce, rosti potato and grilled tomato for BREAKFAST or foie gras burger grilled homemade beef patty topped with seared foie gras, caramelized onion, served with fresh salad and french fries for LUNCH or some grilled US Maine whole lobster with mashed potato for DINNER.

Well, this was the best restaurant I ever met in 2014! Although this new restaurant open since last January, was the perfect restaurant for you to visit. It could be said to be one of my recommendations for restaurants in South Jakarta. No words can describe the awesomeness of all the foods that they've serve! PERFECT!

Today, I got an opportunity to taste the foods from Laughing Stock Steak and Seafood Grill, a new restaurant in Cipete area. Before you start reading, I have to warn you that this post contains a lot of best foods ever and get yourself ready to drool. Let's go!

Lychee Iced Tea (IDR 23.000 - left), such a usual lychee ice tea, served with lychee syrup and fresh lychee, was great to your sunny day and the next was Laughing Caramel Milkshake (IDR 35.000 - right), was their best-seller menu, caramel milkshake with peanut crumbs on top, seriously perfectness level upgraded!

Oreo Milkshake (IDR 35.000 - left) has a smooth texture and sweet, that's why I can't say NO to oreo! And the next, Banana Split Milkshake (IDR 35.000 - right) was the best milkshake for today, you can enjoy the taste of banana in every single sip. But the two of this was became my favourite and a must-to-order for the next visit.

Oxtail Balado

Oxtail Balado (IDR 110.000) was the first main course menu, the aroma really makes you drool and said "OH NO...!!" It was fried AUS oxtail balado served with steam white rice, pickled vegetables and crackers. The oxtail was so soft and tender, also the balado was great, then eat it together with the soup! This really makes my day, for sure!

Pan Fried Salmon

Pan Fried Salmon (IDR 120.000) was the next menu, and if you wanna have fish for your lunch/dinner, this one I really recommend for you! It was pan fried Norwegian trout with baby tomato, spinach, enoki, ginger flakes and miso broth. I was falling in love with their miso broth and the crunchiness of the salmon skin! Everything in well-balanced and so delicious.

US Hanger Steak

US Hanger Steak (IDR 110.000) was the third menu, seared 200gr US hanger steak with caramelized onion, mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables or fresh salad with beef jus. As I know, hanger was a part of the plate section of cow (400 - 650gr), which is also known with "butcher's steak" because butchers would often keep it for themselves rather than offer it for sale. And the hanger steak is usually the tenderest cut on an animal and is best marinated and cooked quickly over high heat (grilled or broiled) and served rare or medium rare, to avoid toughness. It's gonna be the best main course for today!

Surf & Turf

Surf & Turf (IDR 175.000) was the fourth menu, grilled rib eye topped with assorted fresh seafood in garlic and herbs butter, also served with mashed potatoes or french fries and asparagus. This was an extremely combination between seafood and beef! Surely, this meat was big enough and a little bit hard to cut it, BUT when you eat, it so tender and juicy. And I also love for the fried dory, squid, asparagus, prawns and its herbs. NUMERO UNO!

Grilled US Maine Half Lobster

Grilled US Maine Half Lobster (IDR 145.000) was the fifth menu, served with garlic butter and also served with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. This was the perfect grilled lobster ever! Can't wait to touch, grab and eat it! And you know what? It has a great seasoning, you can taste it until the lobster's meat.

Uncle Romy's Hotplate Chocolate Brownies

And this was the last, time for dessert! Uncle Romy's Hotplate Chocolate Brownies (IDR 55.000), was a homemade dark chocolate brownies served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.

The uniqueness is it was served on hotplate then you can pour it with chocolate sauce, which has a great aroma, especially when the chocolate sauce touching the hotplate, immediately smell like 'burnt' chocolate directly arouse your taste.

And overall, this restaurant was great enough, they concern in quality of each ingredients and also serve the best for their customer. There are no words that can describe my satisfaction on all food that have been served. Thank you for Laughing Stock Steak and Seafood Grill!

Hello! This time, me and Soya got the chance to collaborate with Zomato ( and Lotte Shopping Avenue in the event FOODTAINMENT Sense of Asia. We'll give you a unique experience from us, in the theme of "Maximalize Your Smartphone Camera to Make Food Porn".

On this occasion, I and Soya will discuss about tips and tricks about food photography using a smartphone camera. Perhaps, taking picture of your food before eating was hits everywhere in nowadays. To that end, this time we will be sharing some of our excitement experiences about taking picture of food before eating.

And still curious about the tips and tricks on us? Okay, you can see the tips and tricks below :
  • Get to know the character of your gadget that you use.
  • Look for places that have enough light when you want to capture your food.
  • Don't be shy to move your food to a more light places (to get the maximum quality of your photo).
  • As much as possible don't use the flash on your smartphone's camera, because it would eliminate the original texture and color of the food that you're going to capture.
  • Then, you can edit the photos using applications  which is available on your gadget, for example Photoshop express, Snapseed, Fotor, etc. And one more thing, when editing photos, not to change the original color of the food, for example using the sepia colour or use existing filters on instagram or other.

And now, we were given the opportunity to be judges and give ratings to the food photography from the visitors. Many of them were very enthusiastic and participated in this event, one by one onto the stage while showing one of their best food photos to us. A lot of fun here!

And thank you to my fellow bloggers for coming, especially Aline Chandra, Filipus Verdi, Angelina Yuliana, Brigitta Veggy, Yenny Widjaja, etc. Thanks a bunch! :)

Today, I was so lucky to be invited here, to taste their new menu that will be launched on this March! Are you ready to drool with me? Let's come on and enjoy with my photos below. HAHA.

Nachos with Beef Chili Con Carne

Nachos with Beef Chili Con Carne (IDR 45.000), tortilla corn chips served with beef chili con carne (more commonly known in American English as simply 'chili', was a spicy stew containing chili peppers, meat (usually beef), tomatoes and often beans. Other seasonings may include garlic and onions) and topped with sliced of jalapeno and red chili. And it served in three dipping sauces (salsa sauce, guacamole and sour cream). Surely, I really like it!

Mexican Cheese Quesadilla

Mexican Cheese Quesadilla (IDR 48.000), you'll also get Mexican touches here! This quesadilla was consists of mushroom, paprika, onion, coriander leaves and cheese on top with sliced jalapeno and red chilies. Oh ya, this quesadilla was also served in three special dipping sauces (salsa sauce, guacamole and sour cream), just choose your favourite and eat it in warm! HAP!

Nasi Goreng Kecombrang (IDR 45.000), was a fried rice which is commonly known as one of Indonesian food, but now they made it a little bit differently, by adding kecombrang (torch ginger) which is normally used for Balinese food - as the main ingredient for Sambal Matah. Kecombrang has a unique flavor that makes the fried rice so special, also served with sunny side up eggs and pickles.

Soto Tangkar with Jasmine Rice

Soto Tangkar with Jasmine Rice (IDR 45.000), was one of Indonesian food here! Just another simply main course, the soto contains of meat and also tendon, potatoes, sliced of tomatoes and topped with shallots, fried onion and celeries, completely served with rice and chips (emping). I don't really like this dish, it was too plain / less tasty, for me.

Double Trouble Spaghetti

Double Trouble Spaghetti (IDR 65.000) was a combination of two their best-seller menu (Aglio Olio & Crackling Pork Belly). No words can describe the taste of it, really recommended! HAHA. Its pasta was cooked well and then you'll get the 'hot' from the Aglio Olio. This dish will made your day, for sure!

Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream

Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (IDR 40.000) as your simply dessert - as usual. It was a warm chocolate cake with melted chocolate on it, so please cut it out! For its perfectly, served with vanilla ice cream and a piece of strawberry, yum yum!

Singkong Belanda

Singkong Belanda (IDR 32.000), fried cassava served with caramel sauce and cheddar cheese on top. This was my favourite too! Really loves its caramel and cheese, but IMHO its a little bit pricey.

Red Melon Berry Refresher & Virgin Apple Mojito

Red Melon Berry Refresher (IDR 35.000) & Virgin Apple Mojito (IDR 35.000), they're my favourite! Red Melon Berry Refresher was their new cocktail, a combination of watermelon, strawberry syrup and sparkling soda, freshness level upgraded! And Virgin Apple Mojito, this got me hooked, one of the best mojito I have ever met. Its mint and lemon flavor was very pronounced when you drunk it.

Bene Ristorante, is a casual Italian restaurant, also one of the newest restaurant at Alam Sutera, exactly at Living World - this restaurant was presenting the Italian fusion menu. Their interior is rich of Italian ambience, with the green colored wood chair for the outdoor area (smoking area), and red colored sofa for the indoor area (non-smoking area). And on that occasion, I got the chance to taste their main menu. So, are you curious about what I taste? Okay, let's drool!

Ice Strawberry Caipiroska (IDR 39.000), it was fresh enough during the day. It was consist of mint leaves, mixture of soda and chopped strawberries. And for me, this drink wasn't good enough, I can't feel the 'fresh' from mint leaves.

Blue Orange Soda (IDR 36.000), was consist of blue hawaiian soda, orange jungle, orange syrup, orange concentrate. This drink was more fresher than previous drink, imho.

Funghi Fritti

Funghi Fritti (IDR 39.000), such as the opening menu : breaded deep fried mushrooms topped with melted mozzarella cheese served with marinara sauce. The menu was presented in a small-hot skillet, in order to keep warm the mushrooms. Then for its texture was quite crunchy and savoury but only a little less cheese melted. And for a typical Italian sauce that was made from tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions.

Carbonara di Salmone Pasta

Carbonara di Salmone Pasta (IDR 59.000) was pasta tossed with with sautéed salmon, mushrooms, garlic and onion with homemade cream sauce. I think this pasta was quite tasty, but only its salmon still feels fishy.

Bene Classico Pizza

Bene Classico Pizza (IDR 71.000 - SF) was a homemade tomato sauce, grilled chicken breast, jalapeño pepper, pineapple, onion, melted mozzarella cheese, drizzled with mayonnaise and garnished with chopped beef bacon. This portions was large enough to be eaten for two, with quite thick pizza bread with lots of toppings and savory. And this was one of the specialty menu from Bene Ristorante, a pizza with a variety of sizes, there are three different sizes :
Single Fighter IDR 71.000 (for 1 - 2 people)
Gosipper IDR 124.000 (for 3 - 4 people)
1 meter Pizza IDR 250.000 (can be mixed with 3 different toppings for 5 - 6 people).

Pettole Con Gelato

Pettole Con Gelato (IDR 31.000) was an Italian Christmas traditional doughnut garnish with sugar powder and chocolate syrup then served with one scoop vanilla ice cream. This was be my favourite!

Panna Cotta al Cioccolato

Panna Cotta al Cioccolato (IDR 35.000) was a sweet and silky chocolate flavour panna cotta served with homemade vanilla sauce. In my opinion, its taste was good enough - both of the flavour and sweet, but the texture wasn't good, it more like pudding than panna cotta, less smooth.

Overall, all the foods were good but their need to concern in some details, so all the foodie can enjoy it well.
