APPLE GEEK!

HELLO
FROM APPLE!


What do you think about me? Some of them, called me "Apple Fan Geek" but I don't think so. Haha.

And what do you think about Apple? The 'first class' gadget? Ya, maybe it can be said, but not for nowadays because Apple has so many competitor around.

But, why am I still love apple product?

Okay, I'll let you know. Maybe, I'm one of the big fans of Steve Jobs. I was sad when he died and I've thought there's no more innovation like he did before and I really missed with his presentation and said "one more thing"! Nothing better than him and feel the difference when he gave a presentation, I could sit and give a full attention to his presentation. Don't know what makes it different from the others.
Since he was gone, Apple was held by Tim Cook. He was also great but again, he wasn't Steve Jobs. And I felt a bit disappointed when he released iPhone 5, oh why? For me, a little less significant changes from iPhone 4s to iPhone 5, only difference in screen size, thickness and material, as well as the processor. So, I stayed for the iPhone 4s (the last one from Steve Jobs).

Because I like the apple product, then I was looking up to Singapore to get the iPhone 4s and to HongKong for ipad mini. This might sound crazy! But I went for a refreshing too, not specifically to buy the product. Hehe.

And now, let me introduce the iOS 7! How it looks like?


Okay, this iOS was quite good, but it would be a bit wasteful battery when you turn on the dynamic wallpaper. The point is, the wallpaper on iOS7 can 'move', which is usually just a picture or a normal picture. And for the icon they used flat design (the details are really awesome), but somehow I missed the old icon 'it was more Apple'. Haha.

I started using iOS7 in a few days after it was introduced. Maybe, so many who haven't been able to use it or maybe more curious. And because I was really curious and wanted to try it, I send my iPhone's UDID, so it counted as a 'developer' (beta version is available for developers) and I begun to use it. 

At first, just 'tired' and a bit annoying because it had just released and there are still many bugs that have to be justified. For the example, when you entering into an application, the sudden exit of the application itself. Even so, I still wait to use it until beta 6 (now). It was awesome!

And for the last, why I used all of these stuff?

Idk why, but personally Apple has the only one gadget with best UX and UI, it more user friendly than others. And I can easily manage my works, hobbies, etc in easiest way!

A little message for you guys!
Increasingly sophisticated technology, communication between people more less and less. Maybe it could be said that humans are 'enslaved' by technology. For example, just to communicate or asking help to others in different rooms, many of them are using the social media applications. Especially now, almost all the needs are facilitated by technology, which can cause people getting lazy and less concerned with the circumstances and around. Maybe they're not aware of it, they spend more time with their own gadgets. So, respect with people who are around you!

TAIYO SUSHI

It’s simple, it’s delicious and it’s authentic.

Sushi has been a delicacy present in almost every metropolitan city. It is originally Chinese and was later adopted into the Japanese cuisine.

Unlike most healthy food, Sushi is a delicious, nutritious delicacy that won’t have you concerned about high calories or fats that can block up your arteries. In fact, eating sushi could be the best thing you’ve done to your health in your life.


Most of the interior was dominated in wood, may be giving out the impression like being home.


Two pictures above was telling you about the very welcoming and warm environment where you were at Taiyo Sushi.

Here it goes! :)

Agedashi Tofu
Agedashi Tofu (IDR 18.000) was an old and well-known dish and also a Japanese way to serve hot tofu. It was cut into cubes, is lightly dusted with potato starch or cornstarch and then deep fried until golden brown and served with its broth.


Salmon Sashimi
Salmon Sashimi (IDR 45.000), this menu must be ordered and can't be forgotten. It's a Japanese delicacy consisting of very fresh salmon sliced into thin pieces.


Taiyo Special Roll
Taiyo Special Roll (IDR 57.000) was the special one! Why so special? There's salmon, cucumber and crunchy, topped with aburi (half-broiled) salmon. Anyway, this portion was big enough with 8 pieces in medium size.


Dynamite (IDR 28.000) is one of appetizer menu from Taiyo Sushi. What do you think about? Nope, there's no like a bomb! Haha. The taste was good, became my favorite dish! Superb! A bowl of it was consist of baked salmon cube, mushroom, potato and topped with spicy mayo sauce.

Salmon Cheese Mentai
Salmon Cheese Mentai (IDR 26.000) was in Nigiri & Gunkan menu. The fresh 'burn' salmon with mayonnaise was on topped! Anyway, I wanna give you a little explanation about Nigiri Sushi, it was an oblong mound of sushi rice that pressed into a small rectangular between the palms of hands and usually a topping draped over it, such as salmon, tuna or others seafood.

Mozzarella Mentai Yaki
Mozzarella Mentai Yaki (IDR 31.000), this kind was look alike to the previous, but for this sushi was wrapped in nori (seaweed).

Spicy Salmon Fried
Spicy Salmon Fried (IDR 31.000) was on of the best sushi roll for today! It just made of salmon and wrapped in nori then fried until crisp and crunchy and topped with spicy mayo. Perfect!

Softshell Crab Tempura
Soft-shell Crab Tempura (IDR 45.000) as the unique menu from here, a deep fried soft-shell crab served with tempura sauce. And what's in your mind? Should eat that shell? Of course ya, it was really soft and you can eat easily. Feel so curious about it? You must order and try! 

Chicken Teriyaki
Chicken Teriyaki (IDR 32.000), grilled chicken served with teriyaki sauce. For you who didn't like sushi, there's available in bento menu. So, don't worry and keep smile!

Cold Ocha
As always, eating sushi would be complete if accompanied by hot or cold ocha. FREE REFILL for sure! :)

MACAROONS FROM DELIKA

Delika Pattisseries and Pastry was a small shop with many various of sweetness, like cake and macaroons. It was located in the front of HongKong Cafe. So, you can take your little time here and relax with having a hot tea.

Overall, this macaroons was good enough. But I'd prefer for Bakerzin's macaroons, because I like the sweetness of each macaroons. Or it can depend on your own taste :)

[NEW BRANCH] MARUGAME UDON

Hello to all my delicacies eaters!

Did you ever heard about Marugame Udon? I think all of you already know and familiar about Marugame Udon. And for you who didn't know about it, I will introduce and let you know!


Marugame Udon is the first Authentic Japanese Udon Restaurant in Indonesia with freshly homemade udon and tempura. And now, Marugame Udon spread its wings by opening a new branch in the area of ​​South Jakarta, exactly in Gandaria City Mall. FYI, their first branch was at Taman Anggrek Mall, West Jakarta.


One day, I just got an invitation via email from Mr. Edwin for coming to the newest branch of Marugame Udon, also have a food tasting and meet up with another food bloggers. We had much fun here, they're very welcoming to us! But when the grand opening, the queue is quite long because so much fans of udon.


Marugame Udon was made ​​with the concept of semi-self-service, open kitchen, freshly made and cooked. So, you can see the process how to made an udon. And how do I order udon here? First, order udon of your choice (available 8 kinds of udon). Second, select your preferred tempura (available 10 kinds of tempura) and then order your drink. Third, do the payment at the cashier. Lastly, don't forget to add other complementary sauces and spices (on the next counter). And enjoy your favorite udon!


And my heart goes to Beef Curry Udon (IDR 50.000) - idk why, this udon is very interesting for me. Their thin slices of meat and tender, and the curry sauce was savory and 'thick' enough are perfectly to be my mainstay menu. Other than that, I think this is the most suitable udon with me among other udon I've ever tried.


And for the tempura, I've chose Ebi Tempura (IDR 14.000/each) and Broccoli Tempura (IDR 10.000/each). All of them was really crunchy and still in warm, freshly cooked!


Next, udon and tempura served on the display, no more than 20 minutes. Over that time, the food will be retracted and replaced with a new one. Therefore, every tempura crunchiness well maintained.

SKYE : ENJOY THE NIGHT ABOVE THE CITYSCAPE

SKYE is a new lifestyle concept opening up high at the skyline of our beautiful city of Jakarta, located on its 56th floor of 57th floor with 230 meters high at BCA Tower. SKYE has main attraction to the view over the city's skyline. 

This place is become our spot to spend the night while enjoying some snack through the beautiful cityscape.

Deep Forest

Deep Forest (IDR 120.000) was contains of absolut vodka, galliano and apple juice enhanced with cloves and subtle star anise flavors.

El Diablo

El Diablo (IDR 120.000) was a manly olmeca tequila based, lime and ginger cocktail with subtle berry flavor.

Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse (IDR 120.000) was contains of purple grape, crushed and blended with absolut kurant and blackcurrant liqueur.

Banoffee Pie

Banoffee Pie (IDR 55.000) was a quite nice pie from SKYE. It was consist of banana, caramel, marshmallow, chocolate and cream chantilly. The size wasn't big enough but it can be fairly filling your tummy. However, because it contains cream pretty much, it makes little queasy when eating too much.


Strawberry Jasmine Cheese Cake

Strawberry Jasmine Cheese Cake (IDR 60.000) is just another dessert, especially made for cheese lover. This cake like the other cheese cake I ever found, but there's some 'crispy crunchy' on top (idk what it's called) and also served with green tea ice cream. Perfectly match!

Crepe Layer Cake

Crepe Layer Cake (IDR 70.000) looks so beautiful with brandy chocolate cream, salted caramel and spices. This is my favorite - chocolate in every side. For me, on slice of it will make smile to your tummy and perfectly close your night.


You'll see the beautiful of Jakarta through your eyes. High buildings scattered around the city, such as it's like reaching to the sky.


And you feel as if it is in the sky, see the city lights shining like stars in the sky.
How beautiful the city is!
